Jean-Lou is a hands-on Design Director specializing in building meaningful, memorable brand systems, innovative experiences, and digital products. He is an empathetic leader who champions strategic and design thinking while striving for impeccable craft.

Currently, he serves as the Director of Visual Design at Carvana in Los Angeles, where he leads a team of multidisciplinary designers.

Originally from France, Jean-Lou has spent over a decade working in Canada and the United States. During this time, he has collaborated with some of the most talented people in the industry on diverse projects ranging from interactive experiences to brand identity and product design for global brands, start-ups, and small businesses.

Prior to joining Carvana, Jean-Lou built digital experiences and campaigns for Nike, Converse, and Jordan while working at R/GA New York, including the global makeover of converse.com. He also worked at Deutsch LA where he co-led design for Google to launch their breakthrough online streaming service, Stadia, and established a new brand identity system for Taco Bell. Previously, he had worked for some of Canada’s biggest brands while at Tribal DDB and then Normative in Toronto.

Along the way, his projects have earned global recognition from esteemed awards shows such as the Emmys, Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, One Show, Webby Awards, and D&AD.
